Context
In the days of Internet and relocation, being a nomad has become associated, in turn, with an advertising slogan, a philosophical subject and a lifestyle. For young European creators, nomad now belongs to the realm of cordless technologies or Erasmus exchanges. But long before such modern connotations, nomadism was already linked to the idea of travelling live performances.
As part of a creative dynamic, live performance today is sometimes amazingly modern. In this experimental crucible, the boundaries between genres are often dissolved, mixing traditional circus with choreography, new circus with theatre, scenography, social events
At this fusion point, live performance also innovates in terms of the spaces and atmospheres in which performances take place, as well as in the techniques used.
A singular space in keeping with the themes and ideas conveyed by the performer, sometimes finding its source in the imagery of nomadism (traditional and contemporary), the performing space is also a vector of communication, identifying the company itself.
The subject of this competition will focus on the spaces where nomadic art finds expression.
